You still have not answered my question on that post you made, TEB. What is "an insurance premium on an overnight hold" in a futures contract. Did you not answer because I told you to not answer if you did not have the correct answer? Please answer that at least. Admit if you were wrong, or uninformed. We won't hold it against you. Not really.


There is no overnight insurance premium , except the cost of additional margin interest.

There is no interest or premium, additional or otherwise, on a futures performance bond. There is simply a performance bond, for cash straight-up, stat. No muss, no fuss. No mucking about.
 
Capital is a cost, yes, I suppose. But there is no interest, and there is no premium payment. You options folks are crazy!
