Look for a good broker

I withdrew money and sent money to IB more times than I can count. It was always unbelievably easy and expedient.

I'll repeat what I've said earlier.

The problem was not due to IB refusing to send out the funds. The funds were sent but the receiving side did not properly reject the wire.

IB has several billion dollars in client fund including many multimillion dollar accounts. If withdrawing funds was an issue, you certainly would have heard more about it here and due to complaints, IB wouldn't have an excellent regulatory track record.

If you set up your banking instructions as directed on the web site, withdrawals (and deposits) will go very smoothly and swiftly.

I would have agreed with you if I had not read the letter from the wire receiving bank:
Interactive Brokers must include your NAME and ACCOUNT NUMBER on the wire or it will continue to be returned. They keep sending us multiple wires with no beneficiary names or account numbers. Without that information, we can not guess who's account those funds are suppose to go into. Please contact Interactive Brokers and ask them to include your name and account number on the wire, and the funds will be deposited into your account. We are not holding the funds at this time. They are returned to Interactive Brokers each time a wire is sent to us from them. The problem is not on our end, but with Interactive Brokers and them providing us with the necessary information. We have been in contact with multiple people at Interactive Brokers, we have explained to them what is needed, and they still keep sending us the wires incorrectly.
:p

more sour grapes. if ib held funds this board would go nuts. i've bene with ib 6 years and talked to them maybe 3 times as i've jsut never had to as the system is flawless and i've withdrawn and added money art least 50 times never ever ever a snag

The information I provided was accurate. You're beating a dead horse.
I totally agree with your statement. It shouldn't take more than three months to deliver money to your customer anywhere in the states even if riding a LIVE horse.:D
