We stand behind the Chicago Police Department's investigation and our decision to approve charges in this case," the State's Attorney's Office said. "We did not exonerate Mr. Smollett. The charges were dropped in return for Mr. Smollett's agreement to do community service and forfeit his $10,000 bond to the City of Chicago."

2. Bloomberg actually does seem to have formidable character.

The key indicator of Bloomberg being qualified is ripping the Democratic Party a new one publicly and list appropriate changes that he will require them to make.

Judge Michael Toomin, who assigned the case to Webb, raised the possibility that Smollett could be charged again. According to the judge and attorneys, double jeopardy does not apply because Smollett was never prosecuted.
