There is always risk in any trade. What happens if ATYT and/or AMD cooked their books? What happens if the regulators block the deal? What happens if you cannot borrow AMD and get squeezed? What happens if ATYT and AMD changes the form of consideration? Etc., etc., etc.

won't happen.
you can read some buffet's history on how he does this kind of job.

cooked book? no worry, 80% cash
regulartor blocks? won't happen! canada is us's slave.
nvda and intc are the competitors, so no monopoly here.
we bet in short run, not months long run. close in 1 day or 2 weeks.

sold 10k for 15c profit and keep 10k overnight. break even point is is 19.00 now. 30c buffer from break even. overnight is pretty safe.

my margin interest is 10%. it is better to be good!!!

You're insane if you believe the deal will converge within a week. I am absolutely dumbfounded by the quality of the posts on this board. Now we have some dude tick-phucking ATYT for pennies and posting his trans. Burned my corneas again.

Armageddon.

sorry for my english. i never meant this deal will be closed within a week. i bet the market in short run will react if this will be 100% happen if this will be finalized in 6 months range.

it is like i tell some guy "i offer you a job. come to work for me in 6 months" the guy will be most likely so happy and start shopping right away. the cooling down is always after 1 day to 1 week. before then, we already closed the positions.

check out growth rate. margin rate, market shares between NVDA and ATYT. NVDA also received a lot of upgrades recently when they hit 6 month low. it seems NVDA is a better buy. so i swith to NVDA for overnight. 4.4%/6month yield from ATYT is not enough to cover my 10% margin rate, so I can only day trade ATYT and overnight NVDA
