I've traded full time 13+ years. I traded in an office with other guys for 3 years. The past 10 I've traded remote -- at home -- by myself. If that makes me a loner so be it. I'm more profitable this way.

Some traders think clearer when they don't have background noise, such as emotional traders yelling about a profit or bitching about a trade gone bad.

It's a cold, sunny, beautiful morning. I know, because I'm sitting at my desk, looking out the windows of my warm, comfortable, quiet, relaxing office with a cup of fresh coffee in my hand. My monitors are placed in a way that I can glance outside to look at nature any time I please. The room has what I consider perfect lighting and my walls are painted a color which I find very easy to be around for hours at a time. I have a sink and bathroom a few convienent steps away. I have a recliner from which I can still easily watch my charts, if I get tired of my desk chair. I have a sofa on which I can take a nap if my eyes get heavy, while using audible stops of course. I can play whatever music I want anytime I want. I have access to food, snacks and drink anytime I want. I have no boss to kiss ass to, no employees to bug the hell out of me, no customers to get on my nerves and best of all..........if I feel like a little time off.......all it takes is a push of a button.

For some of us, being able to work alone is absolute bliss. :D
