Sorry, thats a real bad argument.

Even if some jerks do want an opening ceremony dedicated to Israel (which would be totally dumb), you MUST remember the opening ceremony is organised by the host country, NOT the IOC.

Anyway, if the IOC were anti-semitic, they would state that Israel are not allowed to participate.

Eitherway, interesting to see that you and AAA (probably the same person using a different log-in) are trying to turn a global, and peaceful competition in to a 'poor pathetic Israel' debate. This only displays why the world generally cant stomach the Israelis and your persistent belly aching.

The Olympics is perhaps the only event that draws the world together in peaceful competition. That should be celebrated. How typical of Israelis to try and disrupt that! Shame on you. And you question why some people are anti-semitic! Duuurrrh!!

So I'm on your ignore list. Boo hoo!

OK, I get it that you are one of the losers I put on ignore and this is your pathetic attempt to score some imagined points. So I will respond this once, then back to ignore for you.

The point of having an observance for the Israeli athletes was that they were murdered by terrorists at the Munich Olympics 40 years ago. So it is not just some random gesture but is an integral part of Olympic history, if a shameful one.

The reason the tribute to the dead Brits was relevant is that the IOC head had said the opening ceremony was not an appropriate venue for commorating the slain Israelis. So it was OK to commerate slain Brits, just not Olympic athletes who were killed during an Olympics. Odd reasoning to any reasonable person with any compassion.

You of course provide the real reason when you vomit up your anti-semitic hatred. I am well aware it is widely shared in europe, the more so now that europe and particularly the UK is becoming a muslim-dominated third world sewer.
