Fascinating read! So, how did this saga end?

So many angles to the story:

1. Is imitation truly the best form of flattery?
2. "You cannot patent a formula. However, you can patent an application of that formula"... or the dreaded "look & feel". Which one is dest's IP?
   
3. Is doobs trying to sell dest's IP because it's so good or because it's so bad?
