I'll bet he got a year off for not blowing the whistle on something else?

He can't. Federal terms are inviolate unless the Pres pardons.

He was convicted of fraud in a US court in 2007 and sentenced to six and a half years' imprisonment. On July 19, 2010 Black was granted bail.
