LME metal futures

Hi,

I got a question for anyone familiar with LME metal fuutres. From my reading I understand that the futures on LME are run on a daily basis. In other words, if I buy a 3 month copper futures today then it will settle in 3 months, if I buy it tomorrow then it will settle in 3 months from tomorrow and so on, it's like every day there's a new 3-month contract, is that right?

yes. on odd occassions the same 3 months date is used for more than one day.

you can just buy/sell a month - e.g sell dec09 is selling the 3rd wed for dec 09.
