LLL: Strong Buy

President Obama approves an 8% INCREASE in the DoD Budget for full year 2010.

$527 billion vs $487 billion.

LLL and the rest of the sector responds well today, even during a DOWN tape!

:)

L-3 management increased their dividend 17% from .30 cents to .35 cents per share on Thursday morning.

Stock is now trading $80.40
+$0.83

Buy the pullback in L-3 that typically occurs when earnings are announced. Stock trades down to 71.22 and is a buy for a couple of points here.

Conference call at 11AM Eastern.

This stock is +22.8% on the year and is looking to make $8.00 for 2010.

It's not just about body scanners at Airports for TSA security... which has largely been all "talk" and no funding.

Make no mistake.
L-3 is a company that has over $15 BILLION in sales and who generates over $1.2 BILLION in Cash Flow!

It's all about C-cubed ISR.

Check out their first UAV effort, named the Mobius...

http://www.genaero.com/pdf/Mobius_0509.pdf

Can fly for 24 hours with a 1,000 lb. payload, manned or unmanned, fully-automatic with no need for land-based control pilot. Carbon fiber airframe. Half the cost of competitors in the sector. Top speed: 234 mph.

No doubt that the latest terror attack will finally light a fire under the desk of the TSA and more screening machines will be funded. But L-3 has a lot more going on than just screening. It is a huge force in electronics defense... from SATCOM laptops in the battlefield to "black" boxes in commercial aviation, and complete optical/video/data-links to the Predator and Global Hawk UAV's.

Four divisions.
Very transparent with incredible management. Have listened to every conference call since their IPO in 1998.

Do your own due-diligence.
