There are services here in the U.S. that charge $100.00 -$200.00 to do a complete mechanical and driving inspection. Its been about 18 months since I bought my last car, but I think its like a 250 point checklist with closeup photos-- then I ship the car to myself. Its crazy but different makes go for different amounts in different places around the country in the preowned market.

Interesting hobby. My Dad was big time into that stuff back in the 70's for classical music, he still uses the same equipment today!

It makes sense that savings increase one's happiness.
I don't think anyone here recommended spending blindly all of one's income, but rather to focus one's efforts towards increasing their income - which requires some investments/spending.
One will be able to contemplate much higher savings with higher income
It feels like another life but I still remember the Rich dad/poor dad book, it does come up with simple but sensible advice.
One of them is to increase one's savings and passive income before spending big on luxury.
But don't mistake careful personal management with beeing cheap, acting cheap is not the best ticket to a higher income, which is the best ticket to higher savings imo.

Just incase in the off shot that I'm wrong and get squished by a bus tomorrow, I'm in the spend it while I've got it, getting / being rich later sounds great but if tomorrow never comes then wasted life.

Shite I've put up with ( NEGATIVE )

Reason for that is, good looking chicks normally think there ugly, as a fat bloke I take advantage of this illogic and have stopped ( doh! in my early days ) convincing them other wise as it always ended up in being dumped for a better looking man ( I guess )
Yes agreed on the boring if dumb, but the smarter they are also the more EVIL they generally are and devious, so has it's advantages.
Best bet is to have a mixed selection to choose from, some stunners, some high IQ normals, enjoy them in different ways and when they go NUTS which they all do, hey you've got spares, DELETE and REPEAT!!
