(I just sold a Friday $5-wide at 2560, so while heavy at 2545, I'm squeezed either way.)

Definitely possible. Despite this emini dip-buying here, the VIX futures aren't completely tanking which is uncharacteristic of what I've seen over the last 6 months....will be interesting to see if the short-vol trade starts to get unwound here.
 
Yeahhhhhhh, my top side got a thorough re-working over the last day.
I *completely* sold off my Oct27 call positions entirely ("Good call!")

I bought back some Oct31 2690 $5-wides, for 10¢, but didn't bother to buy them all back.
Now they're sitting at 80¢ -- right where I sold 'em.
So I rolled them into $10-wides at 2600 -- but invited myself to get whipsawed, by selling a boatload of $10-wides at 2560. I think I'll regret those. (But I'd bought back a bunch of stuff from 2540 to 2515, to keep margin consumption [at least moderately] balanced.)

Yowie. 3 full trading days; $10-wides at top at 2600, $10wides on bottom at 2560. I am *not* "feeling" this one.
