I'm glad you liked her performance, but frankly I don't think there is any comparison between the two.Great voice, reminds me of Grace Vanderwal who also was on AGT and won and was young when she came on.
They both had the same minor flaw of over inflecting or trilling their voices on every note. When released her album it was mostly gone from her voice and was pure power. That came from pro coaching and that is all this girl lacks to mature her voice.

I understand that people can have honest differences of opinion. To me, Grace was a cute kid with a ukulele. That she actually won was an utter surprise to me. Angelina, on the other hand, is a jazz singer whose riffs and runs you misinterpreted (in my opinion) as errors. She had utter and complete control of her voice. I think you need to hear both of their performances side by side and reevaluate.Well Grace sang with a lot of vocal inflections almost over the top at times but when she got signed and put out a record you notice it was corrected by coaches. Same will happen with this girl since she is so young. I am not comparing their skill or who I like better, but she does not to reduce the runs and vibrato in her voice.
Okay, I know what you're talking about. But I don't think she overdid it. The girl is, after all, a jazz singer; some riffs and runs are tools of the trade. But, yeah, Mariah went a little crazy with them from what I recall of her singing.Same thing Mariah Carey went through as well by the way.
She has plenty of time to learn. I just hope she does have proper teachers, because we've all seen good singers ruin their vocal cords because they weren't trained properly. It is not errors, there were parts of the song where she would keep adding runs and vibrato, it is just something that is overdone when someone is not professionally trained. When she smooths those out her voice will only improve. I used Grace as an example if you listen to her first 2 performances and then her song that made the radio. More power and balance and not vocal gymnastics. Same thing Mariah Carey went through as well by the way.
