Not sure if this is what you meant, but I'm using MSN Messenger with XP. Totally free, instant messenging, voice, video and white boards. Messenger is not NAT (network address translation)friendly with certain types of routers, so a new router might be in order if you use one. I'm online allday (from US) and trade with partner in Australia and have communications with other business entities throughout the day. It works great.
