Limitations to higher volume trading

Hi all

Was wondering if anyone here can comment on whether trading presents limitations when you start to trade higher volumes of shares.
When you are trading a 50k account, 1000 share orders get executed without hassle, but what if you had $10m? Could you place an order for say, 200,000 shares? of any stock? Could you do that through your regular broker? What are the limitations? Do stocks or brokers have ceilings as to how much stock you can buy/sell at once?

This is dependent on the spread of the instrument and it's average daily volume.

My size is not humongous but when one of my best setups signals I tend to go pretty hard and size is never a problem.

I suppose that when size is a problem, that would be a nice problem to have.

if liquidity is a problem in your market just keep climbing the liquidity ladder until you end up trading treasury futures- i'm pretty sure those are the most liquid instrument around.

I'm pretty sure they ain't... Spot FX (major ccies) is a lot more liquid.
