Report Says Limbaugh Is Taken to Hospital

A Honolulu television station, KITV, reported that the conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh was taken to a Hawaii hospital Wednesday with chest pains.
The station said that paramedics responded to a call at 2:41 p.m. from the Kahala Hotel and Resort, and then took Mr. Limbaugh to The Queen's Medical Center, where he was listed in serious condition.
A hospital spokesman, N. Makana Shook, would not not comment on the report when called by The New York Times Wednesday night, and Mr. Limbaugh's associates could not be reached for comment.
The KITV report said that Mr. Limbaugh has been in the islands during the holidays, and had been seen golfing at a local country club next to the Kahala Hotel and Resort.

It appears that Rush is recovering in hospital.

Looks like the Republican party dodged a bullet on that one.

Do doubt. Rush is an albatross around the neck of the GOP. And the GOP doesn't have the balls to tell to take a hike. A prolonged absence would be bad for the Dems, imho.

I clearly remember when Limbaugh went back on the radio after rehab from drug addiction.

First time back on the air, and he was a different person.

Gone was the hubris, gone was the acid tongue, gone was the angry tone, the self serving "talent on loan from God" crap.

Instead he was talking about how great rehab was, how great the 12 steps were, how everyone should do it...

Problem is that his audience didn't want to hear that. They wanted bile and hate, and the typical crap that Limbaugh spews.

Being a consummate professional, and realizing his change of heart and mind made for bad hate talk radio...

...he quickly dropped the subject and went back to the act that sells the most...

Hubris, hate, self aggrandizement, us against them, blame liberals, racist comments, etc.

Limbaugh is a victim of his own success...
