That's not for me to say, as I have nothing other than a nodding acquaintance, at best, with merely the definition of fractal geometry. A while back, I read Mandelbrot's The Misbehavior of Markets: A Fractal View of Financial Turbulence, and I don't readily recall his making a distinction regarding subsets.
