Lightweight LCD display device as second monitor

Ok, pin-out map, anything else that would require delving into?

I don't believe this would work. The LCD screen will be connected through some kind of ribbon cables. You need to have some gadget which can interpret the DVI video signals and translate them into the scan code or something for the LCD screen. Besides, you need to have a power source to drive the LCD screen as well. A LCD screen is not the same as a whole LCD monitor. Just one component of it.
