there're a ton of interesting things you could do such as research on a new trading strategy and backtest it.

Not a real problem. If you are truly successful then you will spend time thinking about how to diversify your investments as nothing scales into infinity, if just "doing okay" then try to become truly successful (it's what I'm attempting to motivate myself to do).
Other than that, plan your non-financial future - doubt it's all perfectly figured out.

Take a couple MMA classes in your spare time. Then talk to everyone with a pulse about it and how there is a good chance your going to go pro after only a few lessons. That's what all the guys around here with a lot of spare time do lol.

Ya, that's the thing, previously when I still working, busy lifestyle, then if I have a day off to stay home, it really feels different. But now everyday is off day, too much to take, so much free time, trading doesn't take up too much time.

So much free time that boredom started to come in. Trying to do something to make a difference

i've started to look into buying rental properties for some passive income. there are a few ways of doing this without actually using much of my own capital and it takes up about 10 hours a week of my time.

it's not the typical type of hobby, but i enjoy it like one.

Seriously, I actually think it's the office minus the politics and the boss what's missing.

A shared goal with colleagues feels good, I suppose, but I am not sure, haven't been going corporate yet.
