What was the point of your post? Look at Venezuela, see what happens with (insert favorite political cause you love to hate here)? Or were you just pointing out that Venezuela has high inflation, which I'm pretty sure we're are well aware of on this thread. It can get worse, at one stage in post WWI Germany even bartering had slowed down to a trickle; farmers viewed their produce more valuable than almost anything they can get in return...but yes once you move to a barter the difference becomes incremental...

The US had a "socialist" president for 8 years, albeit in a light form, and our country did not disintegrate into a complete shitshow. While Sanders is more leftist than Obama, even if he ran the country into the ground for 8 years, it would not even remotely come close to what we are seeing in Venezuela.
