Relax, hombre. No obsession here. I'm just following up on the exchange in this thread since I came across this article quite by chance this morning, and thought it was relevant. And why does it matter? Why the obsession over how he first made money? Sounds like some are jealous of his success and need to discredit him and his achievements.
Arnold was and continues to represent the sane voice of the Republican party, a mix of social liberal and fiscal conservative. Democrats hated him because he could bridge the divide at a time when it was possible and succeeded becoming governor of California.
Looking at who's running on the Republican side in the coming presidential race is a testament of how low the Republican party has dropped in just 15 years.
I already said I liked Schwarzenegger, and enjoyed his movies. But the masonry/real estate story sounds like a bit of a stretch the way he presented it. I could be wrong, but I vaguely recall hearing Ric Drasin talk about how he, Arnold and a few other bodybuilders back in the day would train in the morning, go to the beach afterwards, and work out again later in the day. Just saying it doesn't quite comport with the busy-bee masonry/real estate story. There may well be an explanation; one of timing or whatever. I don't know. Which is how I ended my previous post.
I'm just adding to the discussion, bro. No need to get out the pom-poms.
