I think that men coloring their hair is almost always a mistake. Besides, it's his Santa Claus beard that's aging him.
As I noted earlier, he's less lean, so I agree. Thing is, I think those "love" handles are part and parcel of getting older. You may recall that I posted a couple of pics about 3 years ago, just shy of my 61st birthday. I think I looked reasonably lean. Leaner than this guy at 60, at least in my opinion.
Presently, at 64, my questionable body composition scale shows my body fat at 2.5 percentage points lower than it was then, and I weigh about the same. Even so, depending on the angle, and where on my waist I position my pants, the f'ing "love" handles "present," now as they did 3 years ago. But it wasn't always this way! So I think it is at least partly a function of age, quite apart from body fat percentage. In fact, I remember hearing a story well more than 2 decades ago that Sylvester Stallone had his handles surgically removed. Now I don't know if this story is true, But I can imagine the frustration. And he was considerably younger then than I am now.
I suppose there are older guys, over 60, who may not have these sand bars. But they must have truly superior genetics and adhere to some crazy and unsustainable commando diet.

There's no doubt that fat distribution patterns change as you age, and that is yet another subtle aspect of why a person looks older if though they may not be overweight at all. Whereas a young person may have their fat distributed more evenly or in a more aesthetically pleasing way, an older person seems to have specific areas that accumulated fat just loves to hang out at.

I can't stand dealing with mine on a regular basis. Even if it was salt and pepper I could go without coloring it, but unfortunately it's all salt and no pepper.
I agree with your post, but I trust you'll understand if I don't "like" it.

I m too lazy to do it, but one looks much younger with dyed rather than grey hair ime,
Coloring is fine as long as you try to keep it real and close to the original. Also, instead of darker then the original, go lighter, so there is a natural blend of colors and grey...
I generally don't like long beards, but when it is all grey, that is the worst. Now a short, nicely trimmed beard is fine. The problem is that the beard's color gives away your age.

As for beard color, I think most men's beards go grey before their hair does. When I worked in the Middle East in the mid-90s, I saw a lot of dyed beards. Many.
