Honestly, I do. America needs credible enemies to justify endless defense spending, war and repression at home. ISIS (Al Queda/Osama/Saddam/Gaddafi/NVA = Emmanual Goldstein etc) fill that role nicely. Notice in MSM, there's always some 'bad guy' threatening America we must attack.

Yeah lol well there is that.

During prolonged periods of peace its natural for almost any culture to move towards conformism, socialism, liberalism and ultimately appeasement. Then when things become incredibly screwed up and destruction is imminent some old conservative individualist warhorse is brought in to take care of the Hitlers, Mussolinis and Stalins of the world. Once the threat is neutralized the move begins back towards the pansies.
