I wonder if Russia did not invade Ukraine if we would still be in the $3 - $4 gas price range. Oil wa sin the $80s/$90s early 1Q and then Putin stepped in and now we are $120.... WIth Ukraine off the news cycle and people focused on other things, let's see what happens. But with so many countries cutting off Russian crude and going elsewhere the demand is going to keep oil up above $100 the rest of the year until the situation ends (dont see putin withdrawing or Ukraine winning).
Government forecasts are like predictions from Gartman or Cramer.
All I can say is this, when Biden said he was going to "declare war" on the energy industry, he wasn't kidding.
