He wasn't popular with the fans. And sports is a fan contest.
 
Studies have shown that NFL players with superbowl rings suddenly become very popular and feel better about themselves and are more confident to speak out on topics other than football.

That's why Seattle didn't sign him. Or so they say. "He is good enough to be a starter" or in other words: "This ass would disrupt our team like no one else ever could so we told him to shove off". LOL
