Liberals here would vote for anyone even a Pedophile instead of Trump

I'm trying to think of a single person in my personal life who I'd rather not have in office than Trump. It's tough, but my 2nd cousin is 7 years old and last I saw him still believed in Santa so I guess Trump is better equipped than that. That's about all I can think of for people who I associate with. I would put my 16 year old 2nd cousin in over him in a heartbeat. The people I associate with simply have better character than him. I wouldn't associate with anybody who acted like Trump in my personal life whether or for business or friendship. Just not somebody I could trust.

This is exactly why not everybody should be allowed to vote. You vote based on if you like the person and not based on policy. Do you know what your 16 year old 2nd cousin would do if he was president? A 16 year old would very likely focus on 16 year old issues. Maybe give $250k per year to teachers without a way to pay for it. Huge grants for video game makers. Stupid stuff like that. But you don't think like that do you? I bet you've never voted based on a candidates policies.

I bet you vote based purely on if people you know like him or not.

Actually, she is very disciplined and would likely listen to her advisers, making sound decisions. Unlike Trump she has empathy for others and wouldn't make the job about herself. There is more to a president than policy beliefs. Congress writes the laws. The POTUS is a check on what they pass for the most part. The people in my life range from very liberal to very conservative. However, all of them have better character than Trump. Every single one of them. From the mechanic who fixes my car to my dentist/doctor.

I've literally never voted for character before. However, there is a minimum standard. Trump fails to meet that minimum standard by retweeting conspiracy theories, constantly lying, constantly trying to divide, and using the presidency as his reality show. This is not about who’s more fun or who I'd rather "have a beer with". This is about ethics and they matter.
