Liberal media? This study says otherwise...

I just watched "outfoxed" on TV, a program criticising the bias of FOX News...

The fact that programs like this exist, seems to indicate that the press is liberal, however something has to be done about channels like Fox which are clearly biased to the right.

Now imagine countries, which do not programs of this nature.

What is really funny, is that even though they have the power, when they fuck up....they blame the liberals and democrats....

Well the neocons posting on ET usually blame Clinton for all the problems. :D

Quote from TheConMan:

THE MEDIA IS NOT LIBERAL. The media caters to its audience.

If this were true, CNN would still dominate the ratings as it once was, not getting its ass kicked by Fox News.

The libs chose to destroy CNN's credibility, and ratings, by turning it into a Democrats' propaganda outlet rather then provide balanced news coverage.

Balanced news?

You mean like Fox Fair and Balanced?

LOL....

So turning Fox News into a right wing propaganda outlet is good for its ratings and credibility but turning CNN into Democrat's propaganda outlet destroys its credibility and ratings? Can you really be so stupid and illogical or you're just playing a moron on the internets?

Quote from dddooo:

I don't have the circluation numbers but that's totally irrelevant, a newpaper is a newpaper. Even if people are not buying conservative papers or papers that endorsed Bush that only means they are lousy newspapers or that conservatives prefer listening to Limbaugh, that certainly does not indicate "liberal" bias. In other words newspapers don't become liberal when their circulations increase but liberal newspapers may indeed be more popular. Again if you want to talk about circulation numbers you then should take the number of people watching Fox News and listening to Rush into account.

The rest of your post is even sillier which I have come to expect from you.

Circulation numbers are important.... The point you're missing is the reason for the decreased readership/viewership - liberal bias in the media has driven away conservatives - who would have had no reason to go somwhere else if the media did it's job in the first place. FOX never would have been started if there wasn't a need and an audience. Face it, the big media outlets dropped the ball and they're getting spanked....

Quote from Haroki:

Liberal media drives away conservatives and than overwhelmingly endorses Bush over Gore? Is that supposed to make any logical sense? What's wrong with you right-wingers today?

Quote from TheConMan:

90% of the Media is owned by individuals and corporations who are the largest campaign donors to the GOP. THE MEDIA IS NOT LIBERAL. The media caters to its audience. There is a small minority of illiterates to cater to and FOX takes care of those inbreeds. The rest of the audience requires some facts.

Again, the fact of who the owners are and who they donate to has no bearing on whether or not the media is bias, for the majority of folks working in media are liberal...

Surely, you must admit that the conservative side of issues are underrepresented on CBS, NBC, ABC, and CNN, right. And if that is true, then there is a bias. How can you deny that?

Forget that we disagree about the issues for right now. I have a side. You have a side. Fine. Is 'my' side, however much you may disagree with it, fairly represented on the big 4???
