Liberal Democrats Are The Biggest Waste Of Humanity!!!!!

I haven't read all the posts in this thread. This kind of discussion drives me nuts. All of this labeling-type crap of 'liberals are a waste of humanity', 'republicans idiots', and on and on. It's stupid to paint either side in such a broad, general way. Most of you guys that debate politics can't even acknowledge that the other side has any validity to their point of view whatsoever...which is foolish and also not effective debating. Why are you all debating? Do you really hope to change anyone's mind by going back and forth this way? This kind of discourse does not help solve our problems. You don't change anyone's mind. In fact, you end up making the opposition more routed in their position, more defensive and less willing to consider your views. It's fucking stupid and annoying. Are you just debating to try and compensate for low self-esteem? You need to come off sounding like you have all the answers so you can feel better about yourself? You're not fooling anybody. Political discourse in this country is a joke. There are nuts on all parts of the political spectrum. For the most part though, we all want the same things. We just disagree about how to get there. Neither party has a monopoly on the Truth.

It's like watching a bunch of children bicker.

Sorry if I ruffle some feathers here, I just think we can do better than this.

Can't speak for the group, but I think it's not too far off to say that most of us deep-down know our world-view is not going to save us, but as we must be saved, we come here to argue the strengths of our view, with the hope we can convince ourselves and, (the crazy part) convince someone else!

For some strange unknown reason (at least to me) is how this guy manages to fly under the radar. He constantly gets a pass on virtually every dirty deed this guy does, and there is many, both in and out of office.

Apparently the criticism of my post was justified. I've spent the last four hours searching google, ask Jeeves , and the multiple search engine searchs trying to prove my post...and I couldn't. I did not find one musician who identifies themselves as a liberal. The same for actors and yes it seems that ALL the computer and software developers and engineers are right wing republicans. I even searched comedians and to my astonishment all the funny and successful comedians are also republican. I had to look at my own life, what I found is that ever single accomplishment I had achieved as a liberal was in fact done in a dazed confused moment of conservatism.
