I've been at the dentist for two hours and poor Lacesout is in more pain than I am by far :)

Just catching up.. so Ford did well and the ex-prosecutors are doing damage control with various hysterical rants where they have seen the worst most shameful day in the Senate ever.. again.. which they do all the fucking time.

Senator Crapo just threatened the witnesse today with malicious prosecution using the powers of the comittee as vengance I think? And yes, no surprise Senator Crapo is a real name and he is a con.

It is politics but at a level a little higher than most of the contrumps are educated enough to grasp.

Because Ford clearly believes what she says is true and it rings true, they were unable to lay a finger on her. She was attacked by Kavanaugh, I had some wiggle room before hearing her but she is not some crazy.

All that is left now is attack the process, make a stink.

When your own witnesses contradict your accounts, it only proves one thing. She lied! Hell, not a single witness corroborates her accusations. Maybe, she is in another party all by herself with all the wild boys? A couple of guys say Christine Ford might have mistaken Brett Kavanaugh for them? She probably, was drunk as a skunk throwing accusations now out of the blue and why Brett Kavanaugh out of all people? She obviously, has a strong interest in his confirmation hearing for the US Supreme Court. Why? What is her motivation in coming out with all these uncorroborated accusations of hers?
 
American Bar Association just weighted in and demanded an immediate FBI investigation. I would say this is enough to sway the 3 or 4 Republican senators to not confirm Kav right now. The next couple hours before ET noon will show but my hunch is the vote will be delayed to another day.

If you don't know how to react nonverbally, then unless you're really special you likely don't know how to read nonverbal cues. Regardless, there was nothing flaky about her or her demeanor in the high-stress circumstances.

The only reasons to be optimistic will be if Kavanaugh is confirmed and republicans do well in November. Should he not be confirmed and/or the domestic terrorists formerly known as democrats take the senate, it's over for this country.
