Level 1 Financial Planning through Kaplan

Hey all!,

I am about to enrol in Financial Planning Level 1 through Kaplan, which will inevitably lead to a diploma.

Anyone here studied this, or through Kaplan?

Thoughts?

Is this a certificate or a "degree"? If it is a degree program you might want to consider a traditional school (aka not for profit). There are MANY regular schools doing online degrees including the University of Alabama, The University of Maryland and many others.
A Kaplan degree might be better than some other for profit schools but it still has the stigma of being a "for profit".

1) Which "credential" are you hoping to attain later on?
2) When was the last time you met someone who bragged about the guy they hired who graduated from Kaplan?

Just personal development nazzdack, wouldnt mind expanding my limited financial knowledge, plus $1980 for a internationally recognised qualification seems like a good deal to me.

1) Instead of enrolling in a structured course, couldn't you learn the same stuff merely by buying an Idiots or Dummies Guide to Financial Planning?
2) Do you already have proven sales experience? Do you really want to "deal with the public"?
