Letters from a Pro Part I

Quote from tantric:

Bandit,

Your words of wisdom is like a breath of fresh air.

I started trading full time a year and a half ago and I couldn't have picked a worse time to start! It's been a struggle the whole time with some glimpses of hope of what it could be which keeps me motivated to keep working at it. I've been fortunate in that I made some money in the stock market during the dot.com years (albeit I didn't have a clue of what I was doing) and I was smart enough to save some of it for a "rainy day." I'm barely making a living but I keep working on developing my skill by continuing to trade smart, developing and testing new strategies, and reading everything about trading.

If you can last through this, once the market picks up, the experience will pay off.

Too many trades started in the good times and once the bad times hit, they were dropping like flies.

I'm happy that I started during the tough times. Teaches you to be consistent and safe. Very tough but still.

This is why it pays to persevere with the mountain of rubbish written on ET - every now and again one finds a pearl of wisdom to aid one's growth as a trader.

Thank you Bandit.

:)

Yes, thanks for your posting Bandit.

September was a tough month for me day trading wise.

It's good to know what I wasn't the only one having a tough time.
