Quote from cstfx:
It has nothing to do with you own computer clock. If you look at the CME quote graph and compare it to your Ninja graph you will see that the price bars on the NT graph is a full minute behind the CME feed, which means that the info on your feed (and the zen feed I mentioned) is a minute behind the official exchange price feed. But thanks for thinking anyway.
I have a vague recollection from two or three years ago that zen-fire/ninja timestamps its bars differently from what is conventionally done, so the data may seem to lag, but in fact it does not.
For example, if you use CME or even e-signal, the opening 5 minute bar will be stamped as the 9:30 AM EDT bar, but on Ninja, I believe that the opening 5 minute bar is time stamped 9:35 AM EDT.
Again, this is from memory, and not a recent one at that. But I do believe it to be an accurate one. I have not had time to check it again for myself, but anyone who has a Ninja feed could easily check to see if the bars are timestamped by the bar's open or the bar's close. I beleive it will be the bar's close.
