Only true for Christians? Mormons? Muslims? Jehovah Witnesses? etc...
Mormon, JW's, Brethren, Catholic, Scientology, Pentecostal etc all call themselves christian, all think their way is their right way, but catholic are not as dogmatic like the others, nor do they go about pounding on front doors.
Muslim, that's another religion altogether, not included in this discussion.
Of course it's not enlightening for you with entrenched dogmatic beliefs taught by one eyed but charming preachers.
Never forget, the church wants to entertain with grandiose stories and music in order to keep you captive.

My wife's a foody cook and a hoarder, so am not surprised you mention about unsealed bottles.
Am not athiest, more agnostic, but actually, no, not even agnostic, I think there is a realm beyond us but also in us.
I'm leaning these days more toward the belief, all religions are actually gateways, they are not the full answer, they are not a destination, they are openings for us to enter and explore.
The christian bible is a great book, has some fantastic teachings, but it has flaws.
If it is God's word, it is contaminated by human intervention, weakness and can never be perfect for that reason.
For example, many of the historical events in the bible never happened and any that may have, never happened in the time or sequence as claimed.
Much of what is written in bible should be taken figuratively, not literally but the concepts of truth, honesty, love etc are things I can accept.
Even faith can be true if applied correctly, eg, have faith you can overcome adversity, don't fear.
Due to the discussions on ET about religion, so I frequently look up bible references to either use for or against an argument.
But the fact is, often when I read bible scripture quotes when researching, I still get a tingly feeling of being inspired or in awe.
But I'm not convinced in being coralled by churches or christian dogma.
The devil for example as taught by the new testament is really a scapegoat figure for humans who break universal laws.
So an electic fence to keep in the cows will hurt you if you piss on it, it's not the devil who has you by the balls.
