...I was banned because I took marketsurfer to task for using his "journal" as a soapbox. The moderator and I had words. I lost. I was kindly offered reinstatement, but I chose to start anew. Thanks for asking...

99% of ET'ers had Gabfly1 on ignore. He had no audience. He's probably already up to 30% or 40% on his new alias.

Interesting, I didn't know any of that. But regardless, it still doesn't answer why you chose to "start anew" rather than stay with a name we all recognized. But that's ok, that's your personal choice.

Welcome back.

Lets Tax The Shit out of the Rich.

I think Obama should go ahead and make everyone "equal".
Since everything about you is computerized in some government machine today, it would be easy to do.
Here's how it would work:
Every asset of every American would be tallied up, then divided by each head of household.
Some people would wind up with a lot more.
Some would wind up with a lot less.
But all would be "equal".
This will be tallied at the end of each month so that every American is truly "equal".
Yeah!---Great idea!
Let me get to that whitehouse.gov website and put a little bug in our dear leader's ear.
I know he will like this idea.:p

What they SHOULD want is "efficient" government - but no such thing exists outside of National Defense. I would challenge you to prove me wrong in a macro sense (not one-off exceptions to the rule).

That's an easy one. Uncle Benji has been astonishingly efficient at growing the money supply without having to adjust the CPI much. Further, the feds have been able to borrow a jaw dropping amount without the market getting all Greece on us.

But maybe that's not what you meant. ;)
