Lets Tax The Shit out of the Rich.

Quote from Hooti:

Dose the public at large know enough to vote in such a president?
If the people on ET are so incapable of understanding?

...not an incouraging thought!

But thank you, I do think your points are well taken.

That's a good point. And basically explains how we got in this mess, to begin with - the voting public are largely idiots, and voted in the smooth-talking idiot, every time. As far as I can tell, the window to turn things around was the late 80's.

Quote from Tsing Tao:

The numbers under Clinton were nowhere near the level they are today.

You really need to understand what you're talking about before you talk about it.

Neither was the price of bread at Clintons time . . . . you want to tell us about the numbers , Emperor ?

Quote me Hooti...... for he hath me on ignore. :D .

Quote from Max E. Pad:

Now that Obama has figured out the reason behind income inequality is because the rich dont pay enough taxes can someone on the left please explain this to me:

How would your life be better if someone who earned more money than you had to pay an extra 5-10% in taxes?

How does the US debt make your life worse?

Quote from Ricter:

Feel free. The same mechanisms, which should be known to all, answer his original question.

Could you answer his original questions? Then I'll answer yours.

Quote from achilles28:

I will. In the meantime, as you just asked, feel free to answer.

Quote from achilles28:

Can I answer that? :D

Have at it.... Im not going to bother gettnig into one of these debates with Ricter/Krugman again, about how debt doesnt matter, it has been done to death already. Krugman is a clown, and Ricter refuses to accept it.....

I'll let achilles28 have a pass at Ricter before I enter the fray and address the question how national debt affects the citizens of said country.

Quote from Ricter:

How does the US debt make your life worse?

I'll answer that with a question.

How does racking up 20 grand on a credit card, make your life worse?
