Rod Rosenstein says the Russia probe has uncovered a widespread Russian effort to meddle in the 2016 race

    • Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein told The Wall Street Journal the Russia investigation had already revealed a multifaceted Russian effort to meddle in the 2016 US election.
    • Rosenstein added that he had a "solemn" responsibility to oversee and prosecute such cases and that he was "pleased the president has been supportive of that."
    • President Donald Trump has repeatedly derided the Russia investigation, calling it a politically motivated "witch hunt" and a "hoax."
    • "I believe that our department and our office have been appropriately managing that investigation," Rosenstein told The Journal.
    • Rosenstein's comments came after it was reported that he had been pressuring the special counsel Robert Mueller to wrap up the Russia investigation.

And Obama sat there and did nothing. His only response was to tell Putin to 'cut it out'.

ANOTHER OBAMA FAILURE.

Washington (CNN)Special counsel Robert Mueller's scrutiny of Roger Stone includes investigating whether Stone had backchannels to WikiLeaks during the 2016 election beyond the New York radio host and political activist whom Stone claims was his primary go-between, according to people familiar with the matter.

Investigators' queries to people connected to Stone, a longtime ally of President Donald Trump, suggest Mueller's team is skeptical of Stone's explanation that Randy Credico was his main intermediary, according to people familiar with interviews conducted by investigators. The scrutiny also includes probing Stone's relationship with right-wing journalist and conspiracy theorist Jerome Corsi about whether he also acted as a go-between with Stone and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, a source said.

Have we gotten to the bottom of who the Obama holdovers in the justice where who unmasked Americans and leaked there names to press?

Who was James Comey's go-between? Ohhh thats right, he didnt have one!

Who leaked directly to Wikileaks? Bradley Manning. What happened to Bradley Manning? Obama commuted his sentence.

Steve Bannon interviewed by Mueller's team for at least the third time

CNN)Steve Bannon was interviewed by special counsel Robert Mueller's team last Friday, a person familiar with the matter said.

Friday's interview was at least the third time the estranged adviser to President Donald Trump has met with Mueller's team. The source said Bannon has never appeared before the Mueller grand jury.
The Washington Post first reported that Bannon had been interviewed Friday by the special counsel team. Its report, citing sources familiar with the session, said Bannon had been asked about comments that Roger Stone, a longtime associate of Trump, had made about WikiLeaks in 2016.
