Not quite.....he said parents should not tell schools what to teach their child. Makes sense... imagine a white guy coming in and telling the school to stop teaching abot MLK which is a part of the curriculum approved by the Local, county and state board of education. By the way, this happened at a private school where a friend goes. A fucktard came in and screamed at the 1st grade teacher talking about MLK...in february. the fucktard was escorted off the campus and told to take his child out of the school. That is what he meant. You just have a narrow mind.

Parents have a role to attend BoE meetings and voice concerns before the Board at the local and county levels, get involved in PTSA, even run for school board if they want which is how these things work. School Boardds also have challenge procedures when a parent or teacher finds a book possibly to be offensive. I sat in on one of these committees. It is quite robust and considers all view points in decided if the book can still be used, should only be used in limited classes, should be available in the library or removed completely. The committee included parents, teachers and board members who are not involved in the matter.

parents dont get to run into the school and complain about their Karen learning something from the STATE APPROVED curriculum. If an individual teacher brings up a subject outside of the curriculum and the parent is concerned they can go in and see the principal to discuss, as has been the case since I was a child going to public schools. parents always have a right to meet with a teacher and principal over something that concerns them but they dont get to go all karen because they dont like state approved curriculum.
