Clapper lied to congress.

They're hell bent to get Snowden.

Snowden revealed not so much that the NSA was spying. I knew that, thought it common knowledge in fact. What he revealed was that some clown like him with a high school diploma could access a lot of personal info about anybody they wanted to.

Snowden lied repeatedly to his employers at Booz Allen when he sought out and accepted that job for the express purpose of committing espionage.

Clapper told one lie in the pressure of the moment when he was asked, in essence, to reveal classified information on TV.

Needless to say, his counterparts with the PLA and FSB never find themselves in such situations.
