Yes, Medical Press is where authors place "pre-publication" content. Nearly none of these papers are peer-reviewed in any manner. Some are eventually submitted for publication and peer-review in main-stream medical journals by their authors.
Sadly the MedicalPress Open Access has been abused by snake oil promoters pushing fake cures like Ivermectin & Hydroxychloroquine during the Covid pandemic. A huge number of the submitted papers are completely fraudulent -- using fake data & proclaiming studies that never physically occurred.
