Recent news from the City of Toronto is 75% of eligible people ( age 12+ ) are fully vaccinated and Toronto hospitals have a total of 17 Covid patients. Most facilities have been open since early July long enough to see a spike in cases if it's coming; main risk factor still to come will be our schools and some indoor sports. I believe that age 12+ kids are getting rapidly vaccinated now should be interesting to see how our schools make out this year ( they were fully open for in class learning Sept-Dec 2020 except for isolated outbreaks at a few schools ).
That's proof enough that a strong vaccination program can pay almost immediate dividends. There are massive hospitalization numbers in some parts of the US and we barely have Covid patients at this point.
Province of Ontario has similar vaccination numbers.
