Lenovo T61 keyboard - need help please

How do I activate the third function on some keys on my T61 keyboard.
I tried pressing Alt + the key but nothing happened.
In fact I have tried quite a few things and nothing has happened.

The second function is Shift+key

Help is needed and greatly appreciated.

Thanks Big Funky.

I mean keys with 0 with ) as 2nd function and backslash as 3rd function.

I have tried Alt+key for backslash , but it is not working.
