Lemons to lemonade: red open green close

Today started badly, I was 1k uvxy overnight, it and other inverses I was in gapped against me. I took stops on that stuff premkt. Boo.

Then I bought back 1k+ early and got lucky with a big run uvxy midday, I sold all near hod and flipped green.

Lesson learned, be persistent to recover losses, it was a consolation to turn a red open into slightly green close.

I am uncharacteristically mostly flat/cash tonight bc gap direction is hard to forecast in current markets.
Tomorrow's another day.

Anyone else flip a red start to green close? Usually I've done it the other way :p

Yes, but I still didn’t sell. I’m a swing trader and I’ve been moving my stops up on my inverse funds. By my method I’m supposed to keep doing that until stopped out…it worked today. Since I can’t tell what will happen next, I’m just going with the flow. I can say that there are likely some trapped bulls right now who didn’t exit today, and some bulls who learned a hard lesson about optimism this morning…that may add some nitro to the trip down tomorrow if this rout continues. Again, I’m not predicting…just playing what happens.
