Well, here's what I think: Too many people still buy into the false right-left dichotomy. They do not realize yet that Democrats and Republicans are two sides of the same oppressive coin. The real 'Us vs. Them' isn't left vs. right at all, but Freedom vs. Tyranny, and both Democrats and Republicans stand on the side of tyranny. There is unfortunately only one way for the American people to get back control of our country from the government. Thomas Jefferson said it best: "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." And right now is hardly the time to spill blood, since it would be pointless. The government is too strong, the people too weak. They would just crush us. All we can do for now is to build increasing awareness among society as to the nature of our predicament, and the fact that our 'representatives' hardly represent us. Restoring the Constitution & Bill of Rights is not impossible, but first the American people have to gain the desire to do so. That desire is currently very weak. People care more about Snookie's latest antics and 'Dancing with the Stars' reruns than recapturing our country from an oppressive government. That has to change before there can be freedom again.

I should point out that there are in fact a scant few politicians on the side of freedom instead of tyranny. Ron Paul and Rand Paul are the two most noteworthy examples. Journalists John Stossel and Judge Andrew Napolitano are on our side as well. We need many more people like these before the country can be free.

I wish one of these guys would run for POTUS.

To me this turns on "tyranny". Tyranny is bad, but management is necessary. The tough dichotomy is freedom vs. control.

I have often wondered how many times over the course of history those very words have been uttered. Probably many times, by many people, in many different lands.
At some point, somebody has to stand up and take one right between the eyes, and hope the rest will follow, let the chips fall where they may. I agree, we're not there yet, but it does seem inevitable. The tyrants aren't going to just give it up. They never do!

Because they're both idiots and you miss Bush?
Miss Bush? No dopey because I'd like to see an intelligent capable individual in the White House. Unlike the babbling buffoon we have now.

And anyone who thinks John Stossel and Judge Andrew Napolitano are idiots doesn't have the I.Q. of a Lima bean.

That is correct. If anyone here has the I.Q. of a lima bean, it would be you.

When our V finally does stand up, I will follow.

Hard to reconcile otherwise when you realize that Andy appears to be making squawking noises like a 9/11 conspiraloon twoofer;

Andrew Napolitano, Fox Business Host, Reveals He Is A 9/11 Truther

'' The subject came about when Jones noted that Geraldo Rivera had recently raised questions about the collapse of World Trade Center 7 on Napolitano's Fox Business Show. 9/11 conspiracy theorists have centered on that building's collapse, contending that it was blown up by government forces. Jones asked Napolitano what his opinion about the issue was.''

Napolitano replied:

"It's hard for me to believe that it came down by itself...I am gratified to see that people across the board are interested. I think twenty years from now, people will look at 9-11 the way we look at the assassination of JFK today. It couldn't possibly have been done the way the government told us."
