Leading Progressives Say that Even Americans Who Hate Trump Should Defend Him Against Attempted Coup

I can't speak about the Russian government or Putin or the Kremlin, but I can say that Russians in general are just like us. They're decent people. I can't quite figure out why we don't want better relations with them. Russia is not the USSR. Not by any stretch of the imagination. Go to any bar in Russia (especially the big cities), if they find out you are an American, they'll probably buy you drinks (that was before Trump). When Trump says that his desire to have a better relationship with Russia is an asset, I agree.

Russia and the U.S. are going to need each other to fight the war on radical Islam.

Russia is not the USSR.
Except for the small fact that it's being run by a former KGB guy who just happens to be a mass murderer and dictator, and whose government surreptitiously meddles in the democracies of other countries. Apart from that it's all roses.

Just musing...

1. Does Russia even allow muslims into their country? Not at all? Like the Japanese?

2. Remember when "they" said, "we must fight them (muslims) over there, or we'll have to fight them here".... then we go and welcome them onto our shores... and even PAY for them to be here?

Don't throw rocks in glass houses.

Where is your proof? I am sure that if your assertions regarding Putin being a mass murderer and dictator were true then the U.N. would have arranged a tribunal to try him by now.

What’s at the core of this is an effort by some in the intelligence community to upend any positive relationship between the U.S. and Russia. And I tell you there’s a marching band and Chowder Society out there. There’s gold in them there hills. There are people trying to separate the U.S. and Russia so that this military industrial intel axis can cash in.

LOL Zerohedge............ Providing fake news for the gullible ignorant and batshit crazy for over one year now.

One of the oddities of this campaign season was the uneasy recognition by the far left and alt right that they had a fair amount in common. Particularly when it came to foreign affairs. Neither saw the attraction of ruinously expensive foreign wars that left nothing but chaos in their wake, a view that was loudly derided by the establishments of both parties.

The left has a golden opportunity here to participate in a fundamental repositioning of our foreign policy, provided it can get over the antifa addiction. Just say no to soros and his blue pills and start marching for peace, like you once did.
