Laziness- the main ingredient of economic Socialism

A lot of wealth is inherited.

After college I delivered and installed computer systems. I had a delivery to a RE developer and in chatting asked if he could share some life wisdom and how to break into RE Investing as a noob. Over pizza with his family, in addition to other hard-earned pearls of wisdom, he gave me the exercise of going through the Forbes 400 and categorize how wealth was created.

After doing the exercise, I discovered ~1/3 of those on the list inherited their wealth, ~1/3 built wealth through businesses they started, and the remainder was through RE investing.

I firmly believe as well as many others, that Laziness is the main ingedient of economic socialism. Those that are Lazy seem to almost always endorse socialism and those that dont have drive seem to endorse socialism. These are also the same people that think everyone deserves a trophy.
Socialism kills innovation and breeds incompetence.

Just a weaponized meme.

Without social contracts, those whom built wealth would not have the economic stability nor the infrastructure to produce value.

I believe one needs to do their own part to create their own wealth but giving some help to those in need so everyone succeeds is also needed. You don't want to live in a polarized society just like when you are going out with your friends, you don't want to be the richest person or the poorest person in the group; you want the group to have a uniform level of wealth so everybody can enjoy all the activities. It's the same thing with a country.

Just like everything else, it depends on how you implement everything. You can have innovation while looking after the ones who are more in need. Not everybody is born with the same ability, same level of health and well-being or the same opportunities. Yes one can change their own life but one can change it better and faster if they have received a helping hand. And it would be nice if those who are more fortunate can give a bit of help to those who are less fortunate. How much and how frequent and in what form does the help take would depend on how the economic policy is designed and implemented. It's all in the execution.

"House Speaker Kevin McCarthy explained that government assistance programs are supposed to be “temporary, not permanent” and “a bridge to independence” rather than a lifestyle.
He is correct but the word assistance should be widen to include subsidized federal assistance. Government is assisting corporations with financial wants. corporations are too lazy on permanent vacation when they can afford to finance themselves by shrinking profits and cutting extreme bonuses.
So while the poor have only part time low wage jobs with no future who can barely afford rent and food should be paid enough by the lazy rich corporations. The owners seem to rationalize why it's ok for them to be permanently dependent on government assistance and the poor should just get a job. Well that's pretty sick and nasty way to treat people.

The dumb argument you have! Those are small homogenous countries with a special type of people. Just wait until the nice "rapefugees" have a majority and take over! EU will have civil war and chaos because of the softie left! Well, they have no population growth, but the dumbasses thought Muslims or sub-saharan Africans would take over the workload?
P.S. Your idea that the US will EVER be Sweden or Norway is a dumb pipe dream! France is a mess, Canada is America's hat and a large country with a few people and lots of resources. GB's economy sucks, Germany is the only fading powerhouse, but they are declining with this stupid war. Most of the smart people come to the US. I go to Europe all the time. With the exception of Norway, it sucks!
Of course, it is a dumb argument. I was responding with sarcasm to the absurd general statements made in the original post in this thread. Then you respond to my post with an even more incoherent and less reasonable post than Ultimate's original post.

You maintain that Denmark, Finland and Sweden are successful socialist countries because they are "small and homogeneous" , then claim Canada is successful because it is large and has a small population" ignoring that Canada is anything but homogeneous (It's a melting pot of immigrants with different ethnic backgrounds from all over the world!) You are at a loss to explain France's success, as it is one of the most desirable countries on Earth, so you make up some nonsense such as "France is a mess". And you dismiss Germany's great success as a socialist country by imagining that it is a "fading powerhouse". And you don't personally like Norway, therefore there must be something wrong with it.

You might like to start hanging out with Marjorie Taylor Greene. The two of you seem to share a similar approach to logical reasoning. It is almost as though you share one brain between the two of you.

You must be a fucking moron to advocate Socialism/Globalism on an "elite trading" site where the ultimate goal of socialism is communism to eliminate free markets. Look at the Chinese, their markets and stocks are at the whim of the CCP central committee. You, idiots, bring up a few "successful" countries that had socialism but with EXTREME HIGH taxes and social cohesion. Even those countries are backpedaling from socialism since they had a "migrant influx" who rather not work! Read some books and do some research because you are too fucking stupid to live, comrades!
Nowadays, the goal is Globalism(I call it neo-Marxism), where everyone will be equally poor, with no borders, and no countries, except a few ultra-rich. Most of the US, Canada, and EU are for this nightmare. If you thing "trading" will save you, I have a bridge to sell!

Oh yes, Canada's great experiment

Very interesting map. I guess America's allies are really Mexico, Canada, Argentina, UK & Scandinavia.

I'm curious to know who the CIA was trying to assassinate in Tamil Nadu (South India)? I never heard about that one before.

The map does remind me of the 1985 film Falcon & The Snowman where the main character turns on the US while working at TRW after finding out that the CIA was essentially strong arming Australia's government to do what the US wanted (avert the Air Traffic Controller's strike). Or they threatened to end the current PM's reign (Whitlam in 1972). I think the Falcon represented the CIA where it would turn predatory if it didn't get what it wanted. Very good film with great music by The Pat Metheny Group & David Bowie.
