Sorry buddy but this is all wrong.

We give the WHO $900 million for a two year budget cycle, that’s about $450 million a year.

No. The WHO does not monitor globally for pandemic outbreaks. It directs UN health programs (mostly) and gives health guidance. Most of its work is in Africa and South America.

We are on our own for pandemic monitoring and prevention.

As to China and Biden and the narrative you’re pushing, now that is a script. We will see how that goes.

I see. You are clarifying that the WHO does nothing and I should not even start down the road of expecting them to do anything. Yet, they are the ones who took charge or were put in charge of investigating the WUHAN report and issuing or not issuing warnings and guidance after the outbreak.

"No. The WHO does not monitor globally for pandemic outbreaks. It directs UN health programs (mostly) and gives health guidance. Most of its work is in Africa and South America." Yeh, thanks for clarifying that the WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION has nothing to do with world health.

Also, in regard to the bit about WHO getting 450 million a year as though that is peanuts or something, explain to us how much China contributes and why they end out running the place for that amount. And yes I realize that China recently injected some cash based on our withdrawal or as a result of Trumps highlighting it- take your pick. So now they are- I dunno- 85 million- you do the googling- whereas they were previously at 40 or something.

Further much of the contributions to WHO are at the program level not just the organizational admin level. That 450 million a year that you pointed out- for example- conveniently overlooks the 4 BILLION we have committed for vaccines ADMINISTERED BY WHO/COVAX.

Alright enough. China's man won the White House. We agree on that.

The $4 billion for the Covax program is exactly the type of administration work the WHO does. They administrated international health programs through the UN (mostly).

You want me to defend the WHO when I don’t want to. The WHO cannot be but what it is and what it is not is a pandemic prevention organization.

At the same time you’re blaming the WHO for not preventing the pandemic when it’s not what they do because you want a cover for Trump removing our pandemic prevention measures.

Look if you want to make excuses for Trump at least make them plausible. I get this international deep state cabal plays well on the right but it’s just nonsense in reality.

You have earned your extra potato in your rations for the month, Comrade, so give it a rest.

As I said, move on a bit, and show us how Joe is standing up to China and other countries now instead of declaring over and over that Trump is responsible for the China virus. You would think that China is responsible for the China virus but through the magic of lefty scripts it is actually Donald Trump.

Start working on next month's potato with something new and different.

Ok. But that still doesn’t change we removed personnel from the presumed epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak. It’s not logical to say removing pandemic response officials was a good thing. If anything the criticism you should have is that the Trump administration did not beef up pandemic prevention.

As a note we have/had pandemic teams in hotspots all around the world to monitor and respond. Wuhan was a disaster we saw coming. Removing our people is indefensible unless your goal is to promote a political agenda. Then by all means argue having nobody on the ground was a good idea.
good odds we had intel officers embedded in there who'd have delivered timely info too.

maybe I watch too much tv.

CDC and FDA recommend US pause use of Johnson & Johnson's Covid-19 vaccine over blood clot concerns

By Ben Tinker and Elizabeth Cohen, CNN

Updated 7:23 AM ET, Tue April 13, 2021

(CNN)The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the US Food and Drug Administration are recommending that the United States pause the use of Johnson & Johnson's Covid-19 vaccine over six reported US cases of a "rare and severe" type of blood clot.
  • The six reported cases were among more than 6.8 million doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine administered in the United States. All six cases occurred among women ages of 18 and 48, and symptoms occurred 6 to 13 days after vaccination.....
According to a joint statement on Tuesday from Dr. Anne Schuchat, principal deputy director of the CDC and Dr. Peter Marks, director of the FDA's Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research.

"CDC will convene a meeting of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) on Wednesday to further review these cases and assess their potential significance," the statement said. "FDA will review that analysis as it also investigates these cases. Until that process is complete, we are recommending a pause in the use of this vaccine out of an abundance of caution. This is important, in part, to ensure that the health care provider community is aware of the potential for these adverse events and can plan for proper recognition and management due to the unique treatment required with this type of blood clot."

This is a breaking news story.

Or someone might use their brain for a change and simply stop vaccines to women under 50 until they figure it out. Can't do that, makes too much sense.

Same exact issue as with the AstraZeneca vaccine. Both are vector based adno virus delivery mechanisms. I’d say the J&J shot is probably done in the US minus some unforeseen problems with the other vaccines.

Moral of the story is to diversify and have options.

Technically, they did stop the J&J (as in a pause to investigate / research) but not just for women under 50...for all as in everybody regardless to age and gender.
