Last month, there was a poster here on ET...

I was briefly on those Yahoo boards back then, and saw shit like that happen. You were one of those folks? Lol, you cheeky bastud!

Had a little Elite Private group, where we'd think these things up, then all go spread the rumour, would start the Momo off and we'd ride that, only low volume penny crap.

Didn't make a lot of money sadly was just for fun.

Hmm, sounds like the behavior of a virus!

Teehee!

who bombarded numerous threads, constantly telling ET members to "take a second mortgage on their homes, and buy as much QQQ ETF as possible." He liked to say "for God's sake, pick up the phone and make the call today."

Just curious if:
A) anyone was dumb enough to listen to his advice, and

B) if dozu888 has publicly acknowledged what awful and potentially harmful advice this was in retrospect?
I think he may be running around touting the dollar now.

Hey -- at least you weren't the guy selling naked puts on AMZN and GOOGL a few weeks ago.
It could have been worse. He could have been selling them on HAL, SLB, OXY and crude.
Don't cry for me Argentina. I have been waiting for this day after 10 good years. My failing is after 10 years, I am still a newbie, don't know how to trade a down market. :(

Instead of laughing at me why not give me some coaching on when and how to go short.

I haven't written 2020 off yet.

Happy trading.

on this one I am not gonna claim an expert... I personally don't put on trades that don't align with my value proposition... but that's ok, you don't need to have all the tools.

I started in the stock market in 2000 by shorting the bubble... back then value was aligned.. treasury was yielding 6% and SPY was yielding 2.x%... and public participation was extremely high.

therefore I'd recommend to have a style that suits your own - personality, risk tolerance, value proposition.

I miss those Yahoo days, I used to literally make up and start a rumour and make penny stocks rise at my command and because they'd rise at my command, people would believe future rumours which created more rising at my command :)

20 YEARS ago, feels like 45mins in ways.
yep in 1994 we tried it for fun

went around and came back to us about a month later
