Last Hope... Faithless Electors

Both House and Senate have to agree to throw out a states EC votes, good luck with that.
YAWNN SNOOZE

Let's move onto the next fantasy on how Trump will remain president.

Tis why I added “depends on what happens between now and then”. See what leaks out in the media

Hey it’s 2020! Until Biden is sworn in, nothing will surprise me.

I don't believe so. I think the term "faithless" in this sense is specifically for electors who don't vote the way of the popular vote in their state at the EC convention.

Even though a state "certifies" the election for a candidate, the elector can still vote a different way. (33 states "require" their electors to vote the way of the popular vote in their state. 17 states have no such "requirement", though they almost always do. I wonder what would happen if electors in the "required" states cast their vote in a different way? The legislature "back home" would be bent of course, but what else?) Seems to me this was the potential "last ditch remedy" included in the Constitution for a case exactly like this election.... where regardless of the corruption or fraud, the electors could still have one more chance to overrule it, which I was hopeful they'd do this time. I mind very much this swing towards "Full Commie" Socialism and open borders. I'm outraged that it occurred at this time because of massive voter fraud and a gutless SCOTUS who wouldn't even hear the arguments and allow the evidence to be presented. (Dick Morris postulates that the SCOTUS was intimidated by the the Dems who hinted/threatened "packing the court".... making the court less viable and perhaps even moot eventually. So... they chickened out. Could be. So much for "checks and balances.")

Just for clarity, in most states, not all, when you vote for a candidate for president you’re actually voting for a slate of pre-selected electors chosen by each party either at a committee hearing or the states official party nomination.

There were three rogue electors in the last cycle, and that was actually pretty normal for the losing candidates electors to break faith in certain states that used to allow for it. Far as I can tell, because the last EC got so much attention, states tightened their faithless elector laws and I think the only state truly allows for faithless electors now is actually Georgia.

Trump does have a new AG. He can try having Biden arrested now. Trump's predictable like that and It's the go to dictator play.

It's a Barr hire. Ideally, Rudy would be appointed interim and could get the DOJ started on the criminal aspect of this fraudulent election. Right now, it's about getting some people exposed and punished for their roles in the fraud. I doubt Biden was coherent enough to have know or planned the crime, so he would not be arrested for that. However, he is up to his neck in the foreign money scandals and should be exposed for that. I think it would be good now for Trump to preemptively pardon Joe Biden for the financial crimes while setting about the prosecution of the people like Hunter who were enabling him.

The fact that the FBI and DOJ have not made any efforts to investigate the massive fraud on top of the Dominion Voting Machines, should tell you that the swamp runs deep filled with numerous swamp creatures. Too many traitors from both parties selling out the US to globalist powers to destroy the US from within. They are probably, at 95% of achieving their goals.

I'm trying to understand what your thoughts are on this, so if my questions are annoying I apologize.

But it sounds to me as if you are saying that the electors should vote the way you want them to because of checks and balances, and ignore the way the people of their state voted. Is this what you are saying?

why can't all you freaks just enjoy the last few days with your insane messiah? because somebody like trump will never again be president - not even candidate. recently installed safety measures will prevent it.

such a sick person becoming candidate was an accident. everybody knows this. the price that "gop" will eventually have to pay for all this mess will be very very high. we will see it in the coming years - maybe decades.

There are reports that electors from NV, GA and AZ voted for President Donald Trump. This is procedural mainly. That is to protect President Donald Trump's rights if he were to win the pending lawsuits he has out there. Let us wait and see what happens. Probably, a longshot but, anything is possible.
