Who are the largest private traders, and how large are their accounts? I've heard its been rumored Paul Rotter used to pull maybe $6m a month and he also did 10% of the Bund volume. Also heard about this Japanese guy called "CIS" who is worth 130m

"During a decade of day trading, having started more or less from scratch, CIS has amassed a fortune that he says now exceeds 16 billion yen."

The largest private traders are the ones that you will never hear about.


These are probably the high win rate traders that don't want to proof it is possible to have high win rates. They probably make also more than 20-30% a year consistently. But because they want to stay low profile, Marketsurfer and co see this as a confirmation that it is impossible and that they are fake. They are probably losers that want to sell something to newbies....snake oil men....

The only thing it proofs is that nor MS nor his assistants are part of this succesful group and that MS also never interviewed one of them, did not play tennis with them, never parked his car aside of them..... There is still a world outside of the world MS is living in.

That guy's story is kind of very similar to mine -- minus his level of success; I am/was kind of obsessed with computer games...that was basically my only life. I 100% agree with the parallels he's making in comparing in having success between the two.
His profit margin though is small -- but he makes up for it in huge volume.

Warren Buffet is a very large trader. Now that he has his IBM on he has talked a little bit about how hard it was to get in without moving the mkt. He says, "We have gotten so big that it is no longer feasable to buy shares of companies. If we are going to make a move we need to buy the whole company."

He aint private tho. Private as in you trade only your own money.

oh man, if that is all you are worried about, dream on....also, something I have always wondered, how will winning the lottery affect my trading? These are things we as traders should all consider. You just never know when you will be really big. And unless it happens gradually, you will need to post on ET and ask what to do.

you can't even make enough trading to pay your gas bill and you are worried about what you will do when you get too big????

I can tell you for sure, no great man ever became great by doubting himself. These people become great by having a vision and having the courage to take persistent action and overcome all obstacles. I am assuming you said that saying in a negative way. Anyhow I wont be replying anymore, keep the subject on topic please.
