Large Companies Prepared to Pay Price on Carbon

Quote from tradingjournals:

You have good intentions, which is good. The global warming is just a theory. Those who support it benefit from it (research dollars). As I mentioned above, even if it were to exist, tax payers take the bill for any tax and research dollars, and the problem cannot be fixed even if it were to exist.

My opinion: warming does not exist, and if it were to exist, it would be good. If we could have it a bit earlier than later in time, it would even better, so we can enjoy the rains to grow crop and some eat to warm our body from cold weather. Earth is too cold, and temperatures/waters have to be redistributed more evenly.

So mother nature is doing well. Let her alone, and save the money.

In addition to global warming, I do not believe in any theory which was created by a human, and which is not a fact. For instance this guy Darwin, they used to call him an ape. To take his revenge, he worked on the theory that all humans descend from apes. He was then made famous by any group that was insulted as descendents of apes, or groups that wanted to fight some religions and used his theory as a tool for promote their aims.

Humans are miniscule and insignificant in any other dimension (time, space, etc).

You are making more sense than jem. Good for you.

I am against any policy that is designed to destroy an industry and make electricity prices sky rocket.

Obama is trying to talk up some class warfare shit this week. Let me ask one question.

How does causing electric prices to sky rocket help the poor and middle class?

The changeover to nuclear and renewables can be done gradually and fairly cheaply. Some of it can done with essentially no cost by raising efficiency standards. Employment and industries could grow if the demand and desire is there. Folks could be put to work making plants and panels. Solar power is getting very close to competitive. The Koch bros are getting worried thus they and other related interests are waging a well funded war of words about GW. Their handprints are on virtually every reference that jem uses in his arguments.

But certainly we don't want to to unfairly cost the poor more than anyone else. There would need to be policy to address that.

To do nothing is simply unacceptably immoral. To continue as we are is to see we are poisoning our fish bowl and to not care that it will kill us off in the future. It is to borrow from tomorrow and leaving a terrible deficit. It is selfish and greedy.

Doing something about AGW is not the end of the world, but doing nothing get's us closer.

Maybe you need to price out the cost of a nuclear reactor before you make statements like this.

Did you think about the pollution problems with nuclear waste?

What is wrong with continuing with oil and natural gas as key energy sources? At this point it is pretty well proven that increased CO2 from man has no real impact on the climate.

No, no real impact. And up is down. I guess these guys are in the conspiracy huh?

American Geophysical Union

"The Earth's climate is now clearly out of balance and is warming. Many components of the climate system — including the temperatures of the atmosphere, land and ocean, the extent of sea ice and mountain glaciers, the sea level, the distribution of precipitation, and the length of seasons — are now changing at rates and in patterns that are not natural and are best explained by the increased atmospheric abundances of greenhouse gases and aerosols generated by human activity during the 20th century."

Last week Shanghai's airports were closed due to pollution, they couldn't land an airplane because the smog was so thick. Before you go around herebeating the "sky is falling" drum, wanting people here to pay for your bullshit, get China to clean up it's act for starters along with about a dozen other countries that have no problem polluting the planet.... while your at it find a way to put a bubble over Asian rice paddies and Volcanoes, and start sticking corks up all the cows butts worldwide. We do and pay far more here than others in the world, start with them, and once you've accomplished that then we can talk.

This planet has gone through catastrophic climate changes in it's history all without the help of mankind, yet this time any sources or links to natural explanations are dismissed by your ilk because it doesn't fit the agenda.

You're so full of shit and transparent...... and so not worth anymore of my time. IGNORE
